Just another one of those days where i feel very appreciative/fortunate of what i have right now regardless of it being the people that i have around me or in terms of material possessions. Today, we had a history talk in school on historical monuments looking at various buildings and structures which were so beautifully made. The speaker showed us pictures of historical buildings which to me at first just looked like a 'pretty building' with the europeans architects designing it making it look grand and prestigious. However only after she told us in detail as to how the buildings were made, why was it needed to be placed at a certain angle, why it was needed to be built with that particular structure and what was the purpose of the building, only then, i started to realize that all these beautiful buildings needed so much thought, so much effort to be created and that the little details are the ones that makes the building stand out. This then reminded me of how important it is to always try to remember and appreciate all the little things in life because the little things are the ones that makes it beautiful; makes life beautiful.
Also, today i came home with a package sitting on my bed which made me really excited because i love receiving mails/packages. Dearest fel sent me a macbook cover set in pink from the states because she remembered that i love pink and that i wanted to get a cover for my mac. Thank you fel.
