Update. Whoop whoop!

Oh man all that i have just typed had just been deleted. Attempt to blog round 2.

I have been neglecting this space for so long and all i can say is that life has been pretty great (but not so great 5 secs ago when my long post just got deleted) hahaha. Other than that, i have been pretty busy with school and there have been a lot of things going on for the past few months. This month, May has exceptionally been hectic with so many people's birthday parties, al's, wee wee and wen's 21st bday, USS with the juice kiddos, Othello, sleepovers at sammy's and shera's place and so many moreee.

Its so scary how time flies so quickly and now its already halfway through the year. Today, i was talking to the taxi uncle who picked me up from holland village's daily scoop. Somehow, i love talking to taxi uncles because they are usually of quite an old age and they always tell me about their lives; their family, their past, their mood and it always makes me feel that the money that i pay for the cab is so much more worth it. (in-cab counseling session) hahaha. So, he told me that he is 56, retired, had 3 As for his A levels and has a daughter of age 25 who is currently working at St Regis hotel at the front desk. He said that she doesn't like the job because it can be really tiring to work through the night shift but he forced her to work there for at least two years. Also, he told me that he got married at the age of 24 and that it was cheap at his time to have a wedding (he only spent 5k in total). I asked him where he met his wife because i always find it very amazing how people find each other. He said that she was his friend's sister and he 'borrowed' her for the commissioner ball after army because he didn't have a girlfriend and now, he has spent his whole life with her from then. Its truly amazing how people just 'accidentally' fall in love. :') After that, i asked him if he felt that life was passing so quickly because he told me about himself when he was at his peak-- accomplishments of his job that he used to work at. He said 'nope, i'm happy with my life and i enjoyed every bit of it. It was a fulfilling journey.' I hope that when i am at his age, i would also be able to say that. Upon reaching my destination, he wished me the best in life and i thanked him.

For the past few days, i have been thinking about it and I'm just really fortunate to have such great people around me. My friends always ask me why am i always so happy and that is because i truly do feel that way. How could i not be when i have such great people around me looking out for me and caring for me? And i guess when people say that 'the key to happiness is to let things go' in a sense, i agree with that because there is not much of a point to keep remembering something bad right? Only if you choose to focus on the people who can make you happy then, you'll feel happy too.
