With the comfort of your presence.

At some point of our lives, we may feel lost, empty and lonely but today, I felt the immense sense of uncertainty which escalated from the fear of oblivion and the unpleasant experiences from the past. I had the need to talk to my dad who was somebody that I love dearly and have been neglecting recently. The comfort of his presence, his voice, his actions made all my worries and fears dissipated knowing that through it all he has been there next to me fighting all the battles along with me and that he will always be there for me when I need him. He understood that I did not give my best for my recent exams as I felt lost. Lost my sense of direction in making the right choices in life. He told me to take my time to sort out my thoughts and just go and have fun so that I'll be able to get my thoughts/focus back into place again. Still remember the last time i was so angry with the rude dental assistant and you stood up for me telling me that because i was your daughter, you have to protect me. Those were really touching words and i'll never forget the way you said it with your serious face and the tone of your voice. -so firm, so calm and so serious. Thank you for being such an amazing and understanding father. I love you pa. You're the best pa that anyone can have. :)

CNY 2013

So, this week has been a really great one with CNY kicking in making it a kickass week! ^^ (see what i did there?) HAHA. I guess it was just really nice to be able to see and catch up with all my relatives from all over the globe flying down back home to celebrate cny together. The sense of unity and assurance further creates and amplifies the definition of home. I'm just glad that i have such wonderful people around me whom can proudly call them my family which includes some of my dearest friends.

Last day of cny spent w the bestie! Talked, studied, shopped and ate at crystal jade. ^^ 

Nothing feels better than being able to spend time w the people i love and this short break has really allowed me to do that. Now, its time to face reality again with common test popping next week. 

It will all be worth it.

Another week has went by and its time for me to get serious with work considering the fact that common test is starting soon. I wonder why we have to go through all this shit in life. We're young and our youth is too precious to be wasted on stressing out and feeling frustrated with work. Can't wait till 'A's are over and i'll be able to travel to somewhere far, somewhere new and just different from here.

I know people say that by escaping, it won't solve the problem but hey when you're that desperate, every second and minute that allows you to stop worrying or thinking about the problem-- I'm pretty sure you'll take whatever you can get.

Nevertheless, this week has been good i guess. So glad to be blessed with such wonderful people and creatures around me. ^^ I don't think i'll ever be able to survive without them.

We went to swee choon!! omggg the custard egg bun thing is sooo goooddd. 

  

After which, we went to somewhere near MBS w a kickass night view of Singapore. I remember telling M how pretty our country looks on the outside but when you're actually living in it, it isn't so pleasant anymore.

On Sat 2nd feb, went to Chingay w the sch= free tixs! Yay! hahaha! It was so amazing and we had so much fun! They really brought the theme of fire to snow alive when they put so much effort and $$ in creating fake foam snow and confetti!! ^^ On top of that, i had great company to go with! S, M, I & Mrs leong! :)

 All of us were waving our golden pompoms in the air and singing/screaming going super off key, dancing/shaking/whacking each other while busting our moves ... super passionate man. ;)

Lucky

So, yesterday was mummy's birthday and we celebrated it at a chinese restaurant at resorts world Sentosa. Just had to say that i'm so lucky and grateful to be blessed with such a great family and friends around me keeping my roots together and holding me back when i feel like falling. Even though at times i do feel the sense of emptiness not knowing what is there to anchor me to this world or the dying curiosity of how the future would be like, the feeling of a sense of happiness that they give me overwrites that giving me the reassurance that the people whom i love has a mutual feeling and it is more than adequate already. So, thank you (to some form of higher power up there)

i guess its nice to blog once in awhile because it allows me to take time off to stop, look and reflect at what i've been doing and, to appreciated the people around me more. Shall do it more often! :)
