Why Why Why

Why?
Why, why you might ask.

So recently, i had a thought of the word why. Why is why so important to us?
Some of us detest the word why as it could be irritating when one ask too much especially when they do not have the authority or ability to ask the question or to know the answer.
I feel that the word 'why' is so very powerful in a way where it keeps the world- us going. Why? you might ask.

The word is defined as:

Why
wʌɪ/
adverb
  1. 1.
    for what reason or purpose.

  2. adverb
    1. 1.
(with reference to a reason) on account of which; for which.
    exclamation
    1. 1.
      expressing surprise or indignation.
      "why, that's absurd!"
    2. 2.
used to add emphasis to a response.
      "‘You think so?’ ‘Why, yes.’"
    noun
    1. 1.
      a reason or explanation.
As humans we are instinctive, curious beings that are programmed to seek the truth, strive for perfection. However, the very process of how life works has got no concrete answer to it. We end up running and living our lives seeking for something that may not even exist at the end of the day. This inevitably leads us to ask ourselves the question of why. The question of why itself is for one to find out more about an issue in order to gain some form of purpose or explanation of the situation but then again, that itself is flawed as nobody has the correct answers as that is how our world works. There are no definite answers in life and what we are doing may neither be right or wrong since our norms are self established by us human beings. We are all tangled in this web of curiosity in the unknown but this unknown is somehow known to us as well. That we all have to accept the fact of this is how our world works and that it may not totally be of a bad thing.

The word why is the reason why we are how we are today.

In this life, we need some form of explanation to our existence and curiosity is the only way to help us to discover the unknown. It is the answer to the advancement in technology, the way the world works or even the way our air condition works. All these inventions or even how people's relationship works all entangles the question of why.

For example, Why did somebody create air conditioning? And in that, i'm pretty sure they did not invent it overnight and failures are bound to happen. With the consistent asking of themselves the question 'why', 'why did it fail' was probably the secret to their success. If we gave up on the word why, we would be giving up on ourselves and the people around us.

Why do i say that?

In the very basis of the word why, the word itself already sparks curiosity of a certain nature about the world and others. We all know ourselves pretty well even though we may not feel that way, we do. No one knows us better than us. However, what sparks curiosity is others. We may not necessarily need to care a lot about others but we are living in this world that is filled with not just us but others. This includes that whole ecology system, the living and non living. Its good to know about why and how the world works as everything on this planet is somehow linked to us all one way another such as global warming and the rising temperature. These may all seem so distant to us in the near future but it all is somehow related to us, residents of this planet.

Those may be the more distant 'whys' but the closer 'whys' could also mean something as well. Why could also be used to evoke a response be it positive or negative. Why in human communication is a very important word as it not only sparks curiosity but it also expresses interest. In relationships, the word why may be a form of concern. If another is curious of the person, it may in some way show that someone is concern about you and is interested in shouldering your burden with you/ sharing your joy.

'Why do you seem so upset?'

Or even something positive.

'Why do you seem so happy?'

If you refuse to answer or find the person  or the voice inside your head irritating as to why they/ you keep asking why, that is also the day where something has ended as they/ you would already have gotten their/ your answer - positive or negative.

Positive in a way where they may have successfully completed a task and gained their purpose or that they/ you have completely given up on asking and finding out the why.

I guess all i wanted to say is that why is such a strong word and we should never stop asking why as it keeps us going. Stay curious and try not regret not asking why or answering the why.
